We’re excited to announce that this fall LBC will be reintroducing our Spiritual Life Weekend. This annual event is designed to strengthen the spiritual lives of believers in our church and other like-minded churches in the area. On September 20-22, best-selling author Donald Whitney will be our special guest and will be speaking on the subject of our involvement in and commitment to the local church.

Guest Speaker:
Donald Whitney
Donald has been Professor of Biblical Spirituality and Associate Dean at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY since 2005. Prior to his ministry as a seminary professor, Don was pastor of Glenfield Baptist Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois for almost fifteen years. Altogether, he has served local churches in pastoral ministry for twenty-four years. He is the author of numerous books including Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, How Can I Be Sure I’m a Christian?, Spiritual Disciplines within the Church, Ten Questions to Diagnose Your Spiritual Health, Simplify Your Spiritual Life, Praying the Bible, and Family Worship. Don and his wife Caffy have a married daughter, Laurelen, and two grandchildren.
