LBC Reopening Update

200405 Weekly Updates Blog Graphic.001

Beloved,

It has been a tremendous joy and privilege to be able to meet together again as a church family on both Sundays and Wednesdays.

By God’s grace, since reopening our weekly services/ministries we know of no one in our church who has tested positive for COVID-19. Nevertheless, in light of the recent surge of cases in Texas, especially in our neighboring counties, and our Governor pausing his original reopening plan, we want to be as wise and diligent as possible in continuing to follow the recommended health and safety precautions whenever we gather.

First of all, if you are not feeling well or you know you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please stay at home and join us via livestream. Second, when you come to church, please wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer as often as needed and do your best to maintain a safe distance from others. Third, we will once again be setting up our meeting spaces with a full six feet of space between each row of chairs and we encourage you to leave a couple seats open between you and other attendees.

Based on our increased attendance over the past few weeks, it is likely there will not be enough space for everyone in the Activity Center. So if you arrive late and see that the Activity Center is already filled to capacity, we encourage you to make your way to either the 220 Room or the Worship Center which we have designated for overflow where you can participate in the service with others via livestream. Hopefully, this will enable us to sufficiently spread ourselves out throughout the campus.

Also, while masks are not required in our county or church right now, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask at church, please feel free to do so.

We’ve also noticed our parking has been a little tight since reopening so we want to remind you that the NORAMCO parking lot is available to use on Sunday mornings and parking is also available along Stewart Creek Road. If you are able, please park in these overflow areas to free up more spaces in our parking lots for newcomers and those who need to park closer to the entryways.

Please continue to pray that God would grant the LBC leaders wisdom as we consider if it is necessary to change or modify our present reopening strategy and upcoming events due to the rising concerns regarding COVID-19.

We look forward to you joining us for worship this Sunday either in person or via livestream.

Grace & Truth,

Ken Ramey
