Let Us Not Neglect the Gospel
Romans 10:13-16
In this passage, Paul gives a summary statement about the opportunity for salvation that is available for all sinners through the gospel message. He then gives the requisites for the gospel message to be effective.
FOUR IMPLICATIONS:
1. The need for salvation is great (v. 13; Romans 1:18)
2. The gospel needs to be articulated (v. 11-14; Romans 3:23)
3. God has commissioned His people to proclaim the gospel to others (v. 15; 2 Corinthians 5)
4. We can have great confidence in the gospel (v. 16; Romans 10:13)
THREE AREAS TO APPLY:
1. We need to be prepared to proclaim the gospel (2 Corinthians 5).
2. Consider some of the things that may be impeding you from spreading the gospel.
3. Plan and pray. Identify those people you associate with who need to hear the gospel message.
If you had five minutes to explain the gospel in its entirely to someone else, what would you say? Have you practiced proclaiming this message?
