Topic: Faith Passage: 1 Thessalonians 3:1–10

Sunday Service

1 Thessalonians 3:1-10

In this mornings message, Pastor Ramey teaches from 1 Thessalonians 3. In these verses, we learn about TWO FACTORS to consider for firming up our faith.

FACTOR #1: Find Out About Your Faith (vv. 1-5)

FOUR WAYS TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOUR FAITH
1. Transformation (1:3-10) - Do you thankfully see changes in your life?
2. Reception (1:6; 2:13) - Do you obediently respond to God’s Word?
3. Persecution (1:6; 2:14) - Do you gladly endure persecution for Christ?
4. Temptation (3:5) - Do you regularly resist temptation?

FACTOR #2: Fill Out Your Faith (vv. 6-10)

FOUR WAYS TO FILL OUT YOUR FAITH
1. The Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17) - Learn and Live the Word of God.
2. Prayer (2 Cor. 13:9; Heb. 13:20-21; James 1:5) - Plead and persevere in prayer to God.
3. Trials (James 1:2-4; 1 Peter 5:10-11) - Enjoy and endure the tests from God.4. The Body of Christ (Eph. 4:12; 1 Thes. 3:2) - Grow and mature in the church of God.

In what ways are you lacking in your faith? What areas do you need to grow and mature in as a Christian? How can you excel still more? List the five areas that you need to grow and mature the most as a Christian.

Thank God for granting you faith in Him. As Him to fill up what is lacking in your faith.
