In the American church today, there are many different thoughts about how to minister to students. This morning, you’ll see the heart of Lakeside’s Student Ministry, and how we seek to honor the Lord by coming alongside parents in the lives of these students.

A STUDENT MINISTRY THAT GLORIFIES GOD…

1. Honors His Word (2 Timothy 3:16; John 5:39; 1 Corinthians 15)

2. Exalts Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15; John 15:4)

3. Teaches to obey all that Christ commands (John 15:8; Ephesians 2:10)

4. Honors the role of parents (Ephesians 6:4)

5. Supports and comes alongside parents (Titus 2:3)

6. Mobilizing students to serve Christ (Daniel, Jeremiah 1:6-7, Timothy)

7. Equips and trains the next generation (Psalm 145)

How are you involved in coming alongside parents and proclaiming Christ to the next generation? Do you have someone spiritually younger than you that you are intentionally pouring into? If not, why not?
