Daniel 8:1-27
Whenever you’re discussing the doctrine of future things, or eschatology as theologians call it, you need to address the subject of the Antichrist. The Antichrist is portrayed in Scripture as a brilliant, eloquent, influential, evil, deceptive, satanically-empowered savior/dictator who will rise to world dominance during the end times and play a central role in the future of Israel. He will make a treaty with the nation of Israel, which he will eventually break and seek to annihilate them along with all the saints who are alive during the Tribulation and try to get the whole world to worship him. In Daniel’s second vision, he saw THREE IMAGES representing three historical kingdoms and kings, the last of which serves as a preview or prototype of the coming Antichrist.
1. A MIGHTY RAM - Persia
2. A MAD GOAT - Alexander the Great
3. A MENACING HORN - Antiochus/Antichrist
Worship the Lamb who was slain. Thank Him for purchasing you with His own blood and making you a part of His kingdom and allowing you to reign with Him forever. Ask Him to help you make the good news of salvation through His sacrificial death known to every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.
