The Paradox Of Persecution

November 4, 2018 Speaker: Ken Ramey Series: Stand Alone Sermons

Topic: Persecution Passage: Matthew 5:10–12

Sunday Service

The Paradox Of Persecution

Matthew 5:10-12

THEME: In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus highlighted TWO BLESSINGS for those who are persecuted for following Him which should cause us to rejoice whenever we are counted worthy to suffer shame for His name along with those of whom the world is not worthy.

1. CERTAINTY OF CONVERSION - It means we are truly saved (v. 10)

2. CERTAINTY OF COMPENSATION - It means we will be greatly rewarded (vv. 11-12)

Pray that Christians throughout the world who are enduring persecution for Christ's sake would experience in abundance the blessings Christ promised to them in the Sermon on the Mount.
