The Power Of Redemption And Restoration

THEME: We talk a lot about sin here at this church because the Bible talks a lot about sin and we live in a sinful world and we are all a bunch of sinners who battle with sin every day of our lives. Every faithful church is in the sin business; our job is to help people comprehend and confess and conquer sin in their lives, God is in the business of redemption and restoration; His job is to convict people of their sin and lead them to repentance and grant them forgiveness and redeem/restore their lives. Too often we become complacent in our life and ignore the warning signals and end up experiencing the devastating consequences of sin. But when we repent of our sin, God is faithful to rescue us from our sin and restore our lives. When we consider the powerful testimonies of people like King David in the Old Testament whose lives were restored when they repented, it should motivate us to confess and repent of any sin that might be in our life and get right with God so we can have a clean slate and a fresh start as we begin this new year together as a church.

Praise Gof for His power to redeem and restore the lives of those enslaved to sin. Confess to Him any hidden sin in your life and ask Him to forgive you so you can have the joy and peace of a clean slate and a fresh start. Ask Him to use your own testimony to help others experience the power of redemption and restoration by repenting of their sin and relying on Jesus Christ.
