THEME: No other book of the Bible should fuel our passion to reach the lost with the gospel than Romans. Paul was extremely excited, eager, and enthusiastic about preaching the good news of salvation to everyone everywhere. But he knew he couldn't bring the gospel to the ends of the earth all by himself; he needed other Christians and other churches who shared his zeal for the gospel to partner with him in this huge endeavor, His purpose in writing out a clear, comprehensive explanation of the gospel was to stir up the believers in Rome to be enthusiastic evangelists who were "gung-ho" for the gospel like he was. One of the easiest ways to become more excited about and more effective at evangelism is to commit to memory a basic gospel presentation.The Romans Road is a simple way to walk someone through God's plan of salvation using a series of EIGHT VERSES from the book of Romans.

1. You are a sinner who has failed to honor God with your life (Romans 1:18-25; 3:23).

2. You deserve to be punished by dying and going to hell (Romans 6:23).

3. God loves you and sent His Son Jesus Christ to die in your place (Romans 5:8).

4. You must place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (Romans 5:8).

5. God promises to save you from your sin if yo cry out to Him in prayer (Romans 10:13).

6. Now that you are saved, yo are back in a right relationship with God (Romans 5:1).

7. You are completely forgiven for every sin you ever did or ever will do (Romans 8:1).

8. In light of all this, you should live a life of total surrender to God (Romans 12:1).

Praise and thank God for how you have experienced the transforming power of the gospel in your life. Ask Him to forgive you for your lack of love for the lost and lack of zeal to share the gospel with them. Pray that as we get back into our study of the book of Romans your head would not just be filled with a bunch of theology but your heart would be fueled with a passion for evangelism.
