Saul's Salvation Story
March 20, 2022 Speaker: Ken Ramey Series: Stand Alone Sermons
Topic: Salvation Passage: 1 Timothy 1:12–17
THEME: One of the most amazing salvation stories recorded in the Bible is Paul’s conversion on the road to Damascus. He often shared his personal testimony (cf. Acts 22:1-21; 26:9-18; Gal. 1:13-24; Phil. 3:1-14). In this fifth and final time Paul shared his testimony, he offered himself as “Exhibit A” of the profound affect of the gospel in a person’s life and provided us with a pattern to follow in developing and sharing our own personal testimony. In vv. 12-17, we see the THREE CRUCIAL COMPONENTS of a clear, concise, Christ-centered testimony (i.e. what we were like before we got saved; when we got saved; how our life has changed since we got saved).
1. What Paul was like before he got saved (vv. 12-13a)
2. When Paul got saved (vv. 13b-15)
3. How Paul’s life changed after he got saved (vv. 16-17)
